How to open Co-Case Agent, interact with it during an investigation, and save prompts you reuse across cases.
Co-Case Agent is available to all Forensics users in environments that have AI tools enabled. AI enabled tool access is set at the Environment level, and must be enabled by an environment administrator. Reach out to your TRM representative or [email protected] for more support if needed.

Using Co-Case Agent
To start, open Graph Visualizer and load an existing graph or create a new graph. Click the Co-Case Agent button in the upper right corner of your graph to launch the Co-Case Agent.
This will open Co-Case Agent. From here, you can ask natural-language questions, or use the prompts to get started.
When Co-Case Agent is open, clicking on one or more elements from your graph will automatically select those items in the chat box for further discussion. To unselect items, hover over the named element in the chat box and click the X button.
If you ever need to restart the chat, you can do so by clicking the three dots in the upper right corner of Co-Case Agent and selecting "Restart Chat."
Interacting with Co-Case Agent
You can interact with Co-Case Agent in three main ways:
Asking questions about selected graph elements
Responding to guardrail alerts and "Check my graph"
Following suggested next steps
Ask questions about selected graph elements
With an address, entity, or transaction selected in Graph Visualizer, you can ask questions such as:
Question type | Example prompts (with a node/transaction selected) | What Co-Case Agent does |
Attribution & ownership | "Who likely controls this address?" or "What is this entity?" | Reads TRM attribution and confidence, explains who most likely controls the node, and suggests next investigative steps. |
Risk & exposure | "Why is this address high risk?" or "Show this wallet's exposure to exchanges vs mixers." | Explains why an address is low/medium/high risk and points you to the relevant exposure and counterparties data. |
Fund flows & off‑ramps | "Where do funds from this address off‑ramp?" or "Find exchanges I can subpoena from this path." | Uses existing graph intelligence to highlight likely custodial exit points (exchanges/VASPs) and suggests legal‑process next steps. |
Graph operations | "Plot the next hop from this transaction." or "Show first funding for this address." | Calls underlying Graph Visualizer tooling to plot transfers, first funding, counterparties, or swap signatures, using rules to avoid common tracing errors. |
Graph selections | "Select every wallet with outgoing volume over $1 million." or "Highlight all entities connected to the flagged Tornado Cash counterparty." | The Co-Case Agent will compute the matching set and apply the selection to the graph. |
Graph deletions | "Delete every node with no transfers in the last 30 days." or "Remove all the nodes I just selected." | The Co-Case Agent will return a structured deletion proposal listing the affected nodes. Review the proposal and approve it to apply the deletion, or reject it to leave the graph unchanged. |
Co-Case Agent uses the same attribution, exposure, and Signatures data you see elsewhere in TRM, it doesn't run a separate black‑box analytics engine.
Saving and Reusing Prompts
Co-Case Agent keeps a library of saved prompts, so you can store a question you ask often and drop it into any chat instead of retyping it. Open the Saved Prompts panel in Co-Case Agent to manage your library.
Create a prompt. Open the Saved Prompts panel and select New prompt, give it a title and the prompt text, and save it. You can also save the text you are drafting in the chat box as a prompt without opening the panel first. You can rename or delete a prompt later from the same panel.
Insert a prompt into chat. Open the prompt picker in one of three ways: select the Saved button in the chat box, type
#, or press Ctrl+I. Choose a saved prompt and Co-Case Agent inserts it as a chip that you can send as-is or edit first, rather than pasting it in as plain text.Share a prompt. Share a prompt with your whole organization, or with specific users and groups. Sharing uses the same access controls as Custom Entities: give people Can view or Can edit access, or keep a prompt restricted to yourself. A shared prompt shows who it is shared with.
Your saved prompts stay with your account across sessions, so a prompt you save in one investigation is available in the next.
